FEEBLE LITTLE HORSE STEAMROLLER

Pittsburgh glitchy shoegaze quartet feeble little horse release new track 'Steamroller', the second from their anticipated sophomore album Girl With Fish. Described by singer Lydia Slocum as “a shame song overall” and her “most embarrassing song to sing” the track calls to mind bands like Spirit Of The Beehive and They Are Gutting A Body Of Water in its lo-fi mix of heavily distorted shoegaze guitars, clipping electronic textures paired with distinctive pop melodies. The band produce their music themselves adhering to a deeply collaborative DIY work ethic, endlessly bouncing files to each other and editing the tracks; here guitarist and producer Sebastian Kinsler elaborates on the process for 'Steamroller', “When I played Lydia the first voice memo she liked how clicky the guitar sounded so I recorded a track through my iPhone for the intro. Also, when we were working on vocals, I was like I think you should go ‘yeah’ in the pause after the chorus and she was thinking the same thing, really good sync energy that day.” Girl With Fish is set for release on Saddle Creek records on the 9th of June, check out previous single 'Tin Man' here. -Toby Evans-Jesra
